Caste System
The way the caste system worked was every family had a caste they would be in. If they were a Brahmin, they would be considered the highest caste. If they were a Kshatriya, they would be known as the second highest caste. If a family was a Vaishya, they would be the third highest group. And if someone was a Sudra, the family would be a pretty low group. And lastly, there is the untouchables. The untouchables wouldn't get as much food as anybody else, they would have to do more work to get food or to get paid. So they would basically work to live. The Brahmins thought that they were better than everyone because they were in the highest caste. They thought that they needed more things than everybody else.
